Home Delivery

Home Delivery Program

The Salem Pantry Home Delivery program is a service for food insecure members of the Salem community who are physically, mentally, or emotionally unable to attend any of our locations.

Nourishing our community by reducing barriers to access food.

In order to prioritize our services for members of the community in most need of home delivery services, we ask for one of the following to help determine each recipient’s need for home delivery:

1.

A referral from a doctor or nurse practitioner stating the reason for the guest’s inability to attend one of The Salem Pantry’s locations. The referral should include the individual’s name, a date of issue, a contact, and the length of time that home delivery is required.

2.

A referral from a social services care provider stating the individual’s inability to attend a one of The Salem Pantry’s locations. The referral should include a statement of why the individual is unable to attend a location, a date of issue, a contact, and the length of time that home delivery is required.

One-time home deliveries

One-time home deliveries may be set up for immigrant or refugee families who have recently been relocated to Salem, for families placed in an emergency, temporary shelter or families facing financial difficulties due to a recent move to Salem.
