Asiel Al-Aas

Asiel joined the pantry team in August 2026. As Volunteer and Outreach Manager, she leads our volunteer programming from recruiting and training to scheduling and recognition, while also building partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to grow our volunteer and internship pipeline, helping The Salem Pantry reach even more neighbors across the North Shore.

Asiel comes to the pantry with eight years of experience at UKG, where she trained clients on HRIS systems and supported new hires. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and American History from UC Berkeley.

Asiel was born in California and spent much of her childhood in Cancun, Mexico, before returning to California to pursue her degree and career. She moved to Salem in October 2025, drawn by a change of scenery and the area’s rich history, and now lives in Salem. In her spare time, she loves to travel, visit museums, catch local concerts, see a movie at Cinema Salem or The Brattle, and play board games.
