Impact

Report

Food Access. Community Impact.

In 2025, The Salem Pantry stepped into a broader leadership role across the North Shore food network. As federal policy changes created new uncertainty for food access programs, we leaned in, deepening partnerships and working to ensure nutritious food continued to reach the people who needed it most.

2025 Highlights

Moving To Our New Home!

In late 2025, The Salem Pantry moved into a new 26,000 sq ft home at 220 Highland Avenue, a place to reach more neighbors, support more partners, and grow our impact across the North Shore. With more to come!

Advocating For Food Access

In 2025, The Salem Pantry became an active voice in advocating for the food access policies that matter most to our neighbors. As SNAP benefits faced significant federal threats, we joined coalitions, engaged elected officials, and brought the real stories from our community to the people with the power to act. This advocacy remains among the most important work we do.

Expanding Our Reach

In 2025, The Salem Pantry grew its reach across the region in two significant ways. A new Medically Tailored Food Box program brings customized meal packages to support neighbors managing chronic conditions, and The Truck hit the road beyond Salem for the first time, expanding to our mobile pantry program to five new North Shore cities and towns.
