A long-term vision for The Salem Pantry was to address the unmet, chronic need for food in our community. The Market is here to increase access to food for so many.
The Market
The Market officially opened April 22nd and welcomed 235 households through the door on the first day. We are so excited about The Market and how many members of the North Shore community are visiting for fresh, healthy food. Like any other service provided by The Salem Pantry, The Market cannot continue to provide for so many without support.
Stocking a Shelf
The Salem Pantry’s Stock a Shelf Campaign provides supporters with the opportunity to help and “stock” a shelf in The Market. Donations at the following amounts can help ensure The Salem Pantry is able to keep these items on the shelves.
- $50 will help us stock bread from local bakeries.
- $100 will help us stock spices and cooking oil.
- $250 will help us stock the freezer with lean proteins.
- $500 will help us stock milk, butter, and eggs.
- $1,000 will help us stock produce from a local farm.
A gift at any amount will support the launch and ongoing costs of The Market.
