The Salem Pantry’s Fueling Access Campaign Nears Final Weeks: Aims to Raise $100,000 by December 31st to Support Food Security on The North Shore
Salem, MA  (December 16, 2024) – The Salem Pantry, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring convenient and reliable access to healthy food, is entering the final weeks of its Fueling Access Campaign, a year-end initiative to raise $100,000 to support its services in 2025. The campaign, which concludes on December 31st, will provide access to food for over 29,000 individuals.

In 2024, The Salem Pantry provided food assistance to over 9,500 families, offering fresh, culturally relevant food to families and individuals across the North Shore. With the rising demand for service and growing uncertainty around key funding sources, including state funds tied to the yet-to-be-finalized federal Farm Bill, the Pantry aims to end the year with the resources needed to sustain and grow its services in 2025.

The funds raised through the Fueling Access campaign will allow The Salem Pantry to:

  • Sustain the availability of fresh, healthy locally sourced food for guests.
  • Build upon existing relationships with community partners to provide food for students, seniors and more.
  • Support 20 North Shore food access organizations through cross-docking operations in partnership with The Greater Boston Food Bank.

“Families increasingly feel pressure on their weekly budgets. Supporting The Salem Pantry allows families to save crucial dollars on groceries, while also providing an abundant and healthy variety of food to nourish a household.”

The Salem Pantry is calling on supporters to help achieve its $100,000 end-of-year fundraising goal. Every dollar contributed before December 31st will directly impact its ability to empower and nourish local families.
