Meet The Salem Pantry’s 2024 Summer Interns

We are excited to introduce the two interns working with our programs team this summer. Eric and Elios contribute in various ways to the operations of The Salem Pantry with in-office projects and on the ground at various sites.

Interested in internship opportunities with The Salem Pantry? We are accepting applications for the fall semester!

Erik Magner, Business Administration, Salem State University Class of 2026

Why did you choose to intern with The Salem Pantry?

I chose to intern with The Salem Pantry because it allows me the opportunity to give back to the community while gaining great insight into how a non-profit organization is run not only in the day to day but in the long term.

What have you enjoyed so far?

I have enjoyed all of the staff and volunteers I have met so far. Everyone here is full of positive energy and it has inspired me to have a positive outlook on life even in the face of adversity.

What do you enjoy doing outside of school & work?

Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.

What are your plans after graduation?

After I graduate I would like to use my degree to get my foot in the door of the business world. As of right now I am interested in real estate and would like to pursue a career in the real estate business.

Elios Klefti, Business Administration, Salem State University Class of 2025

Why did you choose to intern with The Salem Pantry?

I was introduced to The Salem Pantry at Salem State’s internship fair. Given the nature of the work of The Salem Pantry, I was excited to lend a hand in the community and provide assistance in the tech space for such a great organization.

What have you enjoyed so far?

I have enjoyed working with everyone at The Salem Pantry. Regardless of their position, they are all eager to work. I love that every day I am here I can see the impact we are making in Salem and surrounding areas.

What do you enjoy doing outside of school & work?

I love taking long walks and reading when I have the chance. I enjoy spending time with those closest to me and if I have time I would love to travel more.

What are your plans after graduation?

I would love to work for an organization that does work like The Salem Pantry. I want to be able to put my tech skills to work while lending a helping hand.
